Sharpen the tiny pencils, Ward 8 polls open at 9 am
The tiny pencils have been sharpened and the ballots are blank, but not for long as Ward 8 in Prince Albert votes for the first time in 11 years.
Residents of the Ward will have until 8:00 pm to cast their vote for one of the five candidates running to replace long-time city councillor, Ted Zurakowski.
βThe last race for the Ward 8 seat was back in 2012, so for the first time in over 10 years, voters will have an opportunity to vote for their Ward 8 council representative. We want to encourage eligible residents in Ward 8 to come out in big numbers and vote for your new councillor,β said Terri Mercier, City Clerk for the City of Prince Albert.
The five candidates in the running are Pam Sukut, Peter Friedrichsen, Darren Soloman, Doug Erickson and Dennis Nowolselsky.
