Prince Albert woman arrested after robbery, flight from police in Sturgeon Lake

A 29-year-old woman from Prince Albert is in RCMP custody following a robbery on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation.

RCMP were called at 4:20 p.m. on December 20 to report of several people approaching a man, threatening him and taking his vehicle.

He was not injured in the incident.

Officers patrolled the community looking for the vehicle and found it being driven around the community. When they attempted to pull it over, the driver refused to stop.

They set up a tire deflation device, but the the driver made a U-turn to avoid it, almost hitting two police vehicles.

The pursuit continued until the suspect stopped and three occupants were arrested.

Tonisha Fulton is charged with two counts of assault on a officer with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from a peace officer and having stolen property valued over $5,000.

She was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from Prince Albert Police. The other two people in the vehicle were released without charges.
