Prince Albert police dogs earn national recognition at canine trials

Two Prince Albert Police Service canine teams earned recognition at the 2026 Canadian Police Canine Association Trials, including a third-place finish and the title of fastest police service dog.
Const. Mostowich and police service dog Ares placed third in the compound search competition, which tests a team’s ability to find hidden suspects in a designated area. They also finished among the top 10 canine teams overall.

Const. Brown’s dog, Pando, recorded a top speed of 44 kilometres per hour, making him the fastest police service dog at this year’s trials.
