A 41-year-old man from Sturgeon Lake has been arrested and charged with second degree murder in the death of Phillip Okemow in Christopher Lake in August.

Prince Albert RCMP arrested Wesley Naytowhow in Sturgeon Lake yesterday after warning the public of an increased police presence in the community.

On August 21, police responded to a report of an unresponsive man in Emma Lake. They found Okemow’s body in an outdoor location in the community in an area called MacIntosh Point.

Naytowhow will make his first appearance on the charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court tomorrow.
