Holy Cross principal named Catholic Schools’ new Superintendant of Education

This school year will mark Wade Mourot’s last as principal of École Holy Cross.

According to a press release issued Wednesday afternoon by the Prince Albert Roman Catholic Separate School Division, Mourot has been appointed Superintendent of Education.

‘’I welcome the opportunity to join the Catholic education leadership team in our school division. I am thankful for this new appointment, and I look forward to supporting our division in this new and exciting role,” Mourot said.

With over 25 years of educational experience in Prince Albert, Mourot brings a wealth of experience in French Immersion and English curricula programming.

Of behalf of the School Division Board, chair Suzanne Stubbs welcomed Mourot to his new position.

“Wade’s professional education and experience will benefit our students and staff as we strive to focus on student learning and achievement. We look forward to his continued contributions, and we are thrilled to have Wade join our Catholic education leadership team in this capacity,” she said.

In addition to time spent in the school, Mourot has been committed to Sacred Heart Parish and he and his wife Charlotte are the proud parents of two daughters and two sons.

Mourot will begin his role of Superintendent of Education effective Aug. 1.
