18-year-old man charged after vehicle collision on Diefenbaker Bridge
The Prince Albert Police Service have arrested and charged an 18-year-old man following an incident on the Diefenbaker Bridge Saturday Morning.
According to a media release, he has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police and possession of stolen property over $5,000 due to the incident.
On Saturday at 10:30 a.m., the police said the man was driving at a high rate of speed into the city when the vehicle crashed into a car and lost control on the Diefenbaker Bridge. The vehicle stopped on the grass over the bridge on the 1400 Block of Second Avenue West and the man was taken into custody.
There were no injuries reported and he will make his first court appearance June 3.
