Wildfire near Prince Albert pulp mill contained
A fire burning near the Prince Albert Pulp Mill has been contained.
In an email to paNOW, the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency said the blaze was started by a lightning strike around 5 p.m. on Saturday. As of midday Monday it was contained at 5.4 hectares.
The fire did not threaten any structures.
Ground and air crews from the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency were assisted by Buckland Fire and Rescue, Beardy’s and Okemasis Cree Nation and Wahpeton Dakota Nation in controlling the blaze.
