Police investigate attempted murder

The Prince Albert Police Service is asking the public for help in finding information on the moments that led up to an attempted murder last night.

According to a media release, at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday the police were called to the 400 Block of 12 St. E and discovered a 19-year-old man with life threatening injuries.

The police are asking residents in the areas of the 300 to 500 blocks of 11, 12 and 13 Street East to review any surveillance footage between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. they might have for suspicious activity.

On the scene Parkland Ambulance took the injured man to Victoria Hospital who was then transported to Saskatoon at the Royal University Hospital by STARS Air Ambulance because of his serious injuries.

The incident is being investigated by the Patrol, Criminal Investigations and Forensic Identification Units of the Prince Albert Police Service.
