Police investigating assault

Prince Albert police are investigating the city’s first murder of 2019.

On Feb. 9 police responded to an assault in the alley of the 200 block of 12^th Street East at around 1:15 a.m.

A 27-year-old man who was assaulted later died in a Saskatoon hospital.

While an autopsy is scheduled for next week, the investigation continues between members of the Prince Albert Police Service Criminal Investigations Division and the Forensic Identification Section.
