Chris Best’s heart is still in football, but his hips couldn’t keep up anymore.

After ten years with the Saskatchewan Roughriders – his entire career – Best announced he was hanging up his cleats Thursday.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have reached a deal with international receiver Chad Owens.

Owens spent six seasons in Toronto before playing last year with Hamilton.

He was the CFL's most outstanding player in 2012.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have beefed up their offensive line in a big way, signing the 2016 CFL Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Derek Dennis spent the last two years with the Calgary Stampeders and was seen as one of the greatest gets in the 2017 free agency class.

10 Saskatchewan Roughriders hit free agency today

At 11 a.m., the Saskatchewan Roughriders and other teams in the CFL will have a plethora of players to negotiate with.

It is CFL free agency Tuesday, and the green and white have 10 players expected to hit the open market when it opens.

Thursday morning, Justin Dunk of 3 Down Nation published a story stating that the Saskatchewan Roughriders worked out beleaguered former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel.

Roughriders release 2017 schedule, open season against Durant

It’ll be the Riders versus the Blue Bombers to open the new Mosaic Stadium in Regina.

The CFL unveiled the 2017 schedule on its website Tuesday morning and it has Winnipeg travelling to Regina for the first pre-season game on June 10.
