Hospital plans include space for MRI, RHA says
The Prince Albert Parkland Regional Health Authority (RHA) says current plans for the redevelopment of Victoria Hospital do include space for a MRI machine.
Currently, the Saskatchewan Government has not committed funding nor has it made a final decision about the placement of a MRI machine in the hospital. According to the RHA, its discussions with the ministry of health continue.
As well, this inclusion of space for an MRI in the plans does not preclude the provincial government from licencing a privately operating clinic in the city, the RHA said.
Mayor Greg Dionne is pleased with this development, since he feels there is a need for one in the community.
