Prince Albert Parkland Health Region Volunteer Service Opportunities for the week of November 16, 2015

The Volunteer Services Department of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fulfill the following service positions:

Visiting Neighbour / Telechat Volunteer

To visit a client in their home on a regular basis, to develop friendship and establish a warm, caring relationship to improve the client’s quality of life.

Shifts: As needed

Palliative Care – Victoria Hospital

Duties may include visiting on a one-to-one basis, and providing relief and support for families.

Shifts: Flexible and as needed.

Gail’s Brigade – Victoria Hospital

Volunteers offer friendship, companionship and provide support for Palliative patients. Duties may include nail care, hand or foot massages, shaves, or haircuts/styling.

Shifts: 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Flexible), Monday – Friday, once per week.
