Tkatch: Raiders get their ‘swagger back,’ beat Warriors 4-1
The Prince Albert Raiders left the Art Hauser Centre last Friday with just one win in a six-game span (1-3-2). Consider that funk over with.
The Raiders beat the Brandon Wheat Kings, the defending WHL Eastern Conference champions, in Brandon 3-2 on Sunday before defeating the Moose Jaw Warriors 4-1 Tuesday at the Art Hauser Centre.
The pair of wins shoot the Raiders back into first place in the WHL with 31 points and a 14-5-2 record through 22 games.
“We were kind of in a little bit of a slump there, I guess you could say,” said Raider forward Jordan Tkatch. “They were close games, but winning in Brandon is a big consummate. Obviously, when we won there, we got a little bit of our swagger back. I think it showed tonight, coming into the first period, we were all over them.”
