School bus hits the ditch near Tisdale
Road conditions were very poor Wednesday in the Tisdale area, and a school bus driver learned that the hard way.
Just after 1 p.m., Tisdale RCMP, Tisdale Ambulance and Tisdale Fire and Rescue responded to the crash scene about 12 miles north of Tisdale on Highway 35. The school bus had been travelling south on Highway 35 when it lost control on the ice and flipped on its side in the ditch on the other side.
Four children, ages six to 10, were on the bus at the time of the collision. The bus driver and children were all treated on scene and released.
Highway 35 was closed for about half an hour as the tow truck retrieved the bus from the ditch.
