Parkland Ambulance was busy this past weekend during the first snowfall of the season.

On Sunday, paramedics reported that they responded to 126 incidents over the weekend, including a pair of car accidents.

The first happened on Saturday afternoon at around 3:20 about 15km West of Prince Albert on Highway 3. Upon arrival, first responders found a pickup truck in a nearby forest after it left the highway. Paramedics cared for a 26-year-old woman with a medical condition at the scene and took her to hospital in good and stable condition where she continues to receive care.

The second accident happened in the city in the late hours of Saturday night at around 10:45 p.m. Crews were called to the intersection of 6th Ave East and 26th Street East where medics cared for a 33-year-old woman with injuries. She was taken to hospital in good and stable condition.

With the cold weather making its presence felt, Parkland Ambulance is also sharing some tips to keep warm by reminding people to bundle up and be mindful of frostbite as temperatures are expected to continue dropping.
