Raiders kickoff new year against Warriors in Moose Jaw

Jan 5, 2024 | 2:08 PM

The Prince Albert Raiders (17-17-0-2) are on the road again in the Friendly City for a Friday night matchup against the Moose Jaw Warriors (21-14-0-2).

The contest is a rematch from the last game for the Raiders as they were handed a 2-1 loss to Moose Jaw back on Saturday.

Entering the Moose Jaw Events Centre, the Green and Gold are hoping to snap a three-game skid over the Warriors as the Raiders sit at the .500 mark this season. Over the last ten games, P.A. has claimed four wins while M.J. has four but things are only starting to heat up.

The Warriors come into the game on a four-game tear with each coming against divisional opponents. Additionally, Moose Jaw added some firepower to their roster earlier this week in a blockbuster trade with Wenatchee, acquiring star forward Matthew Savoie for a haul of draft picks.

The Raiders are 2-4 against Moose Jaw this season with P.A. winning the first two games against the Warriors in the season series, 4-0 in Sept. and 6-3 in mid Oct.

Following tonight, Prince Albert will head back to the Art Hauser Centre to face their rival Saskatoon Blades on Saturday night.
