P.A. Whiskey Jacks prevail in season opener over Kradgers
The Prince Albert Whiskey Jacks started the 2023 season off on the right foot by winning their first game of the campaign last night against the Saskatoon Kradgers.
The Jacks were lights out on both ends of the pitch, scoring 38 on the offensive end while holding the Kradgers off the scoreboard on defensive end.
After the statement win to opening the season, coach Darcy Murphy told paNOW he’s impressed with how his team played.
“We played fantastic, typical PA rugby,” he said. “We came out hard and aggressive right off the kickoff. Our first possession, we marched it for about 80 metres and we were relatively error-free. We made all our passes, made all our tackles, we were making good decisions out there and I was truly really impressed with it being the first game of the year. Not a lot of rust.”
