Updated: Rosthern RCMP believe missing boy is heading west

UPDATE: Rostern RCMP notified the public and the media on Monday evening that Lagasse has been located safe.

Rosthern RCMP continues to ask for help in finding 15-year-old Kord Lagasse.

Investigators believe Lagasse was spotted hitchhiking on the southbound lanes of Highway 11 on August 20 in an effort to travel to Medicine Hat, Alta.

Lagasse is described as 5’10” tall and approximately 150 lbs, with blue eyes and medium-length blonde hair. It is unknown what Lagasse was wearing when he was last seen but he is believed to be carrying a green, army-style backpack.

Lagasse was last seen at a house in the community on the afternoon of Aug. 18.
