Canadian Air Force veteran Grant Ursaki receives first poppy of annual campaign
A local Prince Albert veteran said he was pleasantly surprised when he was asked to receive the first poppy in the city ahead of Remembrance Day.
Grant Ursaki is a Royal Canadian Air Force veteran who’s served in various fighter locations all over Canada, including in nine of the ten provinces and at 12 Wing Shearwater in Nova Scotia in support of the Royal Canadian Navy.
Ursaki said to him, receiving the first poppy is an incredible honour.
“There’s been a lot of very distinguished veterans before me that did this, so to be even loosely associated with that company is great.”
