MLCN man accused of arson and attempted murder following early morning house fire

RCMP say three people were inside a home that was deliberately set on fire early Monday morning on the Montreal Lake Cree Nation.

Fortunately no one was hurt, but the house was extensively damaged.

Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP were dispatched to the residence around 5:30 a.m.

As a result of their investigation, RCMP charged 55-year-old Scott Bird with uttering threats, attempted murder, and arson.
