The man who was charged in connection to two recent armed robberies in the city, has taken responsibility for his actions and now awaits his punishment.

Trent Ferris, 32, appeared via video Monday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court where he entered guilty pleas for the November incidents.

On Nov. 9, police responded to a business in the 2600 block of Second Ave. W. for a robbery in progress. As officers were en route to the call, they noticed a white Toyota Tundra truck travelling at a high rate of speed. The truck matched the description provided by the call taker.

The driver did not stop for police, which triggered a chase. The pursuit ended after the driver drove onto a small pond and attempted to flee on foot.

Ferris also pleaded guilty to an armed robbery on Nov. 3 at the Shell gas station on 15th St. E. In that incident, two people allegedly stole cigarettes, lottery tickets, and an undisclosed amount of cash from the business.

A pre-sentence report was ordered and Ferris is scheduled to make his next court appearance Feb. 18.
