Court hears from defendants in halal deer poaching case
Two distant cousins accused of multiple hunting infractions testified in their own defence at Prince Albert Provincial Court on Wednesday morning.
Both men testified they had been drinking on Oct. 8, 2024, the day one of the offences is alleged to have happened.
“I drank a whole 40-ounce bottle of whisky at work that day,” 26-year-old Wyatt Sinclair said as he testified in his own defence.
Wyatt and Brody Sinclair, who described themselves as distant cousins and good friends, were working at a local stockyard, welding fence panels for cattle pens.
