Alleged impaired driver causes significant damage at casino parking lot

An incident that occurred late Tuesday night in the parking lot of the Northern Lights Casino in Prince Albert is expected to result in thousands of dollars in damages and multiple insurance claims.

Around 10 p.m., a vehicle travelling through the parking lot, crashed into several parked vehicles before speeding off.

The vehicle was soon after stopped by police, and the driver was arrested. London Rabut appeared Wednesday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court. She was remanded to Sept. 8.

In relation to Tuesday night’s incident, she has been charged with fleeing the scene of an accident, dangerous driving, refusal to provide a breath sample, and assaulting a police officer.
