Prince Albert police investigate weekend stabbing and sleeping man found with cocaine

Mar 3, 2025 | 4:39 PM

A stabbing in Prince Albert’s west flat neighbourhood and a welfare check that resulted in the seizure of cocaine and cash, were among the weekend highlights for the city’s police service.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., police received a weapons related call and responded to the 1500 block of 15th Street West. The initial information stated someone had been stabbed.

Shortly after, officers located the victim in the 800 block of 18th Street West.

Parkland Ambulance arrived shortly after and treated and transported the man to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, a man was found sleeping in a vehicle where there was a firearm and multiple illicit substances present.

At approximately 8:50 a.m. police were called to an alley in the 2200 block of Second Ave. West for a welfare complaint.

Initial information stated a person appeared to be unconscious in their vehicle. Arriving officers quickly located the vehicle and the male occupant.

As the driver side door was opened, officers observed a collapsible baton. Shortly after, officers learned the male has a Canada-wide prohibition from driving a vehicle.

He was then arrested for possession of a weapon and during that process, officers located and seized a handgun from his person.

A further search of the vehicle resulted in locating $2,960, ammunition, 18.6 grams of crack cocaine, and 13.6 grams of psilocybin.

As a result, 40-year-old Adam Beaulac was charged with possession of a weapon, careless use of a firearm and ammunition, concealing a weapon, possession of a firearm, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime.

His next court date is on Wednesday.
