Western Canada’s outdoor farm expo recognizes innovation

MELFORT, Sask. — Ag in Motion gives farmers a chance to see the latest in equipment and technology but it also provides a unique opportunity for companies to showcase their new ideas.

The 2022 Innovation Program recognized achievements in five areas.

ATP Nutrition was the winner in the agronomics category with the NutriScan 2.0; hand-held, diagnostic soil testing technology that provides a complete soil test in less than five minutes.

In the business solutions category, DTN Agronomy was recognized for its hand-held access to farm data.

The Precision AI Spraying Autonomous Drone system won in the category of environmental sustainability.

In the equipment category, Sky Ag Tech in partnership with XAG Co. were honoured for its spray drone.

FarmSimple Solutions won in the livestock division. Their Herd Hand provides real time water level monitoring for remote water troughs without a farmer having to leave their home.

The awards were presented at the Innovation in Agriculture Reception on Monday evening.
