No complaints made to P.A. police over unruly customers mad about proof of vaccination

No complaints have been made to Prince Albert Police about unruly customers over the province’s proof of vaccination policy.

The policy came into effect at the beginning of the month stopping those who haven’t received both doses from entering non-essential businesses.

This includes restaurants, nightclubs, bars, taverns, standalone liquor and cannabis stores, cinemas, live music venues, fitness centres, and gyms.

Despite there being no complaints made directly to the police, some businesses have had some issues with customers.

Sheena Rai, co-owner of the Spice Trail, claims she was intimidated and threatened by a group of individuals right after the policy was first announced.

Humpty’s Family Restaurant and Prairie Cannabis have also told paNOW they’ve had to deal with angry customers.

In one situation, a pellet gun was drawn over issues with the policy at a business in Saskatoon.

The Saskatchewan Government and General Employees’ Union (SGEU) and the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour (SFL) claim they’ve heard reports of verbal and physical harassment directed towards business staff across the province.
