Police make arrests in separate incidents finding drugs and other items
The Prince Albert Police Service have arrested three people in the community following two separate incidents involving drug trafficking.
In the first incident the police arrested two 20-year-old men after a traffic stop at the 4200 block of Fifth Avenue E. early Thursday morning. At 1:30 a.m. the vehicle was seized after the driver had an invalid driver’s licence. They also found individual bags of cocaine which totaled to over 30 grams, other drug paraphernalia, over $1,200 in cash, and a digital scale.
One man is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, breach of probation and possession of the proceeds of crime. The second man is facing a charge of breach of court ordered release conditions.
The second incident involved a 27-year-old woman who was arrested at the 2300 block of Sixth Avenue E. Tuesday night on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop. The police investigated and found methamphetamine, psilocybin, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and a scale.
