Winter arrives in Prince Albert

A fresh blanket of snow and ice is on the ground this Wednesday morning.

Some areas are worse than others.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Melfort, Tisdale, Nipawin and Hudson Bay areas.  Those areas could see 10 to 15 cm of snow on Wednesday.

Add to that, wind gusts may top 70 km/hr.

As of 4:45 a.m., Prince Albert was not in the warning zone but did receive freezing rain and light snow overnight.
