Cascade Speed Meet and the PA Sharks Swim Club

Nov 17, 2015 | 3:17 PM

Three of the Sharks Swim Club have returned from a competition in Calgary called the Cascade Speed meet. At this competition, there were multiple Alberta Provincial records broken, so you can imagine the speed of the competition.

Our swimmers went into the week training very hard and it showed in their execution of the races.

Their hard work in practice holding paces and stroke length was shown time and time again when they would get up and compete in the race well. Even though there weren’t many best times Nachelle, Kendall, and Tristan showed that though being tired they could get up and race with some of the best in the west.

Tristan had the highest placings of the meet just being edged out of a medal at 4th in the 50 Breastroke, and 5th in the 100 Breastroke. The Prince Albert Swim Club isn’t just high performance swimmers, we build our swimmers up and prepare them to have fun at every level of competition. The Sharks are looking forward to attending a competition in Regina this coming weekend! So keep an eye out for how the swimmers do in the next while and if you have a swimmer who wants more than the regular lessons check the Sharks out at www.PASharks.ca .
