Three people are facing charges for producing drugs in a Regina home that was the scene of an explosion in February.

On Tuesday morning, Regina police announced charges were laid last month against three people in relation to the blast on Cooper Crescent on Feb. 24. Three men were sent to hospital by the explosion and house fire. The blast left the entire west wall of the duplex blown out; furniture scattered the lawn as fire crews doused the flames.

Bernice Lynn Bloor, 58, and Adel Essid, 29, are both facing charges of producing cannabis resin, also known as oil, and obstructing a peace officer. Kyle Nicholas Siller, 19, is facing charges of production of cannabis resin, possession of marijuana, and possession of the property of crime over $5,000.

Shortly after the blast, a donation request was put out to help Bloor – who was a bartender at Evraz Place – and Essid. The request said that Bloor was the owner of the home, and Essid was a renter.
