Lakers prove to be worthy hosts at bball club provincials

The Prince Albert Lakers made the final in three divisions at the Club Basketball provincials in the city over the weekend.

The U-15 boys suffered a 93-46 setback in the gold medal game against Light’s Out, a team comprised of players from around northern and central Saskatchewan.  

The U-17 boys were defeated 70-62 in that championship game while the U-15 girls lost 50-27 to the Saskatoon Steel in that gold medal showdown.

Both Prince Albert U-13 teams had 2-and-2 records claiming bronze in their divisions and the U-17 girls had a 2-and-1 record heading into their final game against the Saskatoon Slam.
