There are some neat things coming up for anyone in the community. 

Check out Fr. Leo. He really does put on a great professional show.  He’s been on the Fox network and lots of other places including the Bobby Flay throw down!

May 5, LOCCSD Division presents holocaust survivor, Eva Olsson – The Light of Christ Catholic School Division in North Battleford is honored to present Holocaust Survivor Eva Olsson.  On May 5, two presentations for students will take place at John Paul II Collegiate in the gym – elementary at 9:30am, high school at 1:00pm.  A presentation for the public will take place at St. Vital Church in Battleford at 7:00 pm.  Speaking of bullying, her experiences in the camps and the need for us to not be bystanders, Eva motivates all to be better people. May 6-9, St Mary High School “The Wedding Singer” – Upstage Production would like to invite the community to upcoming performances.  Show times at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. from May 6-9.  Tickets cost $18.00 for adults (ages 19 and over) and $13.00 for students (ages 18 years and under) and are available at the E.A. Rawlinson Box Office or by phoning 306-765-1270.

May 8, Retreat for Women – An ecumenical, one day retreat for women of all faiths. Speakers are Sr. Chantelle Bonk, Srs. of the Presentation of Mary; Rev. Nora Vedress, Calvary United Church and Rev. Iris Kristjansdottir, Messiah Lutheran Church.  The day will run from 9am-4pm at St. Michael Parish Hall (1505-13 St. West).  Registration fee: $25.00, nutritional snacks and lunch included.  Contact St. Michael Parish at 306-763-5658 or stmichaelparish@sasktel.net.  Deadline: May 1. 

May 23, Chef Fr. Leo Patalinghug – Fr. Leo Patalinghug will be here on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Carlton Comprehensive Public High School (665-28 St. East, Prince Albert).  With his unique style he will speak to youth, married couples and families.
