Rona gives a gift to quench the thirst

The Rona in Prince Albert is giving away free cases of water this weekend to help deal with the current boil water order.

“It was kind of a group effort. We talked to our bosses in Regina, as well as in Winnipeg and it was a group effort and it’s worked out really well for us,” said Dan Whaley the assistant manager of the Rona in Prince Albert.

He said they have allotted 500 cases of water to give away on both Saturday and Sunday, on a first come first serve basis.

The cost will be paid for by the Rona in Prince Albert, totalling around $7,000.

“People are loving it, their surprised. They can hardly believe that we’re giving out free water right now, so it’s been really good,” he said smiling.

“We’re doing our part. Just helping out the customers and helping out the citizens of PA.”
