MP Tom Lukiwski says Regina domed stadium project isn’t dead

The door to a new multi-purpose entertainment complex in Regina is being left ajar by one Regina MP.

The self-imposed deadline the province set to learn whether it would receive federal money for the project has come and gone.

But Conservative MP Tom Lukiwski doesn't think the issue is dead in the water, saying the application should remain while the province considers other options.

And he insists that must include some financial commitment from the private sector.

“Significant private sector investment, an investment that shares the risk of the project, not simply sponsorships and naming rights.”
