An award-winning artist, her work has received international recognition, including special distinction from the International Society of Acrylic Painters. A respected member of Saskatchewan’s arts community, Kathie was known not only for her artistry, but also for her poetry, writing, and mentorship.

Her work often reflected themes of northern life, community, and the humanity of marginalized individuals. Kathie was actively involved with organizations such as CARFAC and the Mann Art Gallery, and she contributed to numerous exhibitions, commissions, and community initiatives.

Jean-Laurent Fournier – Performing Arts (Music)

For more than five decades, Jean-Laurent Fournier has been a pillar of music education, performance, and community service in Prince Albert.

Beginning his musical journey at a young age, Jean-Laurent went on to found Fournier Guitar Studios, where he has taught an estimated 1,000 students over 50 plus years. Known for his inclusive and adaptive teaching style, he has mentored students of all ages and abilities, fostering confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Beyond the classroom, Jean-Laurent has dedicated decades to volunteering his musical talents within the community, including over 50 years of service through church music ministry. He has organized festivals, adjudicated competitions, and collaborated with artists across generations. At 73, Jean-Laurent remains actively engaged, continuing to share his passion for music through performance, mentorship, and community connection.

 Jesse Campbell – Builder

Jesse Campbell is recognized as a driving force behind the growth and accessibility of arts programming in Prince Albert. Since moving to the community to serve as director/curator of the Mann Art Gallery, she has played a vital role in expanding opportunities for artists and participants across disciplines.

Through her leadership of the Artists in Communities program, she has successfully secured multiple Saskatchewan Arts Board grants and has connected artists with diverse community groups, including youth, seniors, and individuals facing barriers to participation. Jesse’s work has created meaningful artistic experiences rooted in collaboration, inclusion, and mentorship. Widely respected for her dedication, compassion, and vision, she has made a lasting impact on the cultural landscape of Prince Albert.

 Rodney Janzen – Performing Arts (Music)

Raised in Prince Albert, Rodney Janzen has achieved international success as a guitarist and songwriter at the highest levels of the music industry.

His career has taken him from local performances and early touring experiences to stages around the world, including major festivals, television appearances, and iconic venues.

Rodney is best known as a co-writer of the chart-topping hit Free and Easy recorded by Dierks Bentley, and for his work as a touring and recording musician with numerous major artists. Now based in Nashville, he continues to write, record, and perform while maintaining strong ties to Prince Albert, returning regularly to visit family.
