A possible Christmas murder in Pelican Narrows

A 63-year-old woman was murdered in Pelican Narrows.
 
At about 10 a.m. on Christmas morning, RCMP responded to the discovery of a woman's body outside a residence in the community.
 
She's been identified as Jean Ballantyne.
 
A 20-year-old man from the area has been arrested and charged with First Degree Murder and is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Prince Albert on Dec. 29.
