Wet summer delays highway projects until 2011

A summer full of rain has meant heartache for farmers and now the Saskatchewan's Minister of Highways admits it's caused a blow to his ministry's budget as well.

But, Jim Reiter says his government is committed to all road projects they've already announced.

Crews are still at work repairing washed out sections of the Trans-Canada, but again, rain has forced that project into next year.

“The summer was terrible, so many projects were held-up and that in turn caused a chain reaction. We'd have a project that should've been finished and they should've been moving onto another one and they couldn't,” said Reiter.
