It's the first day of the annual Prince Albert Grand Council assembly at the Senator Allen Bird Memorial Centre. More than 200 people are attending the two-day assembly.
“It’s basically an organization that was created to assist from everything from health, to housing, to engineering, to legal services, to technical services like IT, to education,” said council CEO Johnny Walker.
Over the next two days, discussions will be held on how to better serve the First Nations communities.
The Prince Albert Grand Council represents 12 First Nation bands in northeast Saskatchewan.
