Expect overnight snow

Oct 25, 2010 | 1:57 PM

You may wake up tomorrow morning to snow on the ground.

Environment Canada is forecasting snow this evening and continuing into Tuesday.

About 0.75 inches is expected to fall on the Prince Albert area over that period.

Environment Canada meteorologist Albert Skiba said the Prince Albert, fortunately for residents, the area will miss the real heavy stuff.

“Areas well to the north — La Ronge, Pellican Narrows — they’re looking at about five to ten centimeters of snow and the very southeast corner of Saskatchewan is looking at five to ten centimeters of snow as well,” he said.

Most of the snow will melt as it hits the ground, said Skiba.

He added that whatever doesn't will immediately melt will surely disappear later this week with daytime highs staying well above 0 C.

Skiba added the arrival of the snow is bang-on for this time of year.
