HIV rates still rising in province

HIV rates in Saskatchewan continued to increase in 2009, says Saskatchewan’s HIV Strategy.

“It still is alarming, it still is disproportionately younger women (affected),” said Dr. Moira McKinnon, Saskatchewan’s chief medical health officer.

Court case delay frustrates father

The father of a boy who died in foster care is frustrated over delays in the court system.

Evander Daniels died in June, when he was 22 months old. He was living in a foster home near Aberdeen when he drowned in a bathtub. When he was found, his body was covered in scald-type burns.
