Hockey Weekend in Kinistino

On January 20th and 21st, Kinistino will host our first hockey weekend.

The goals for this weekend are:

• Raise funds for ongoing capital renovation projects in the Kinistino Sports Complex.
• Showcase our local hockey talent.
• Bring the community and area together for a weekend to increase our community pride.

The events that are currently planned for the weekend are:

• Hockey games featuring all levels of Kinistino Minor Hockey (Friday and Saturday) as well our Kinistino Senior Hockey team (Friday Night).
• A Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League game between the Melfort Mustangs and the Laronge Ice Wolves on Saturday, January 21st at 7:30PM.  
• A silent and live auction featuring sports  memorabilia and donations from local businesses.
• A breakfast Saturday from 7:30 am to 10:00 featuring a question and answer/hockey discussion with a panel of local hockey celebrities. The discussion will be led by Wray Morrison from News Talk 650 CKOM and will feature current Melfort Mustangs Head Coach Trevor Blevins, current Saskatoon Blades Head Coach Dean Brockman and former NHL player Chris Mcallister who played 300 games in the NHL.
• Cabaret with a DJ following the Mustang game which your admission to the hockey game provides you free admission to.
