Cold laser helps acne/oily skin

Oct 11, 2012 | 11:17 AM

Last week we talked about acne and how carefully chosen products can actually make a difference. Another way to help calm and clear acne is with cold laser treatments.

Cold laser works in the skin. It kills acne p vulgaris bacteria deep in the tissue. It reduces inflammation and speeds healing. It also regulates the production of sebum or skin oil.

Unlike other lasers, cold laser or low level laser as it is also called, is a very soothing and comfortable treatment. The skin is not harmed at all and there is no redness afterwards. Clients are able to resume all normal activities immediately afterwards. Cold lasers do not try to whip the skin into shape or traumatize it into behaving.

Carefully chosen acne products used in conjunction with cold laser treatments can substantially reduce the embarrassing and often painful condition of acne. For more information, contact your friendly neighborhood cold laser technician. Check back next week when we talk about the benefits of microdermabrasion, when used in conjunction with cold laser, on acneic skin.
