A high-speed police chase involving as many as 20 emergency vehicles passed through Prince Albert this morning shortly before 9 a.m.

According to several eyewitnesses who contacted paNOW, numerous RCMP and city police vehicles were in hot pursuit as a single suspect vehicle came into the city from the North and then left on Highway 2.

The suspect vehicle was finally stopped and surrounded a few kilometres south of the city.

"There's more cops out here than you can shake a stick at," one witness said. "They're in the ditch. They're everywhere."

An RCMP spokesperson confirmed the incident had concluded and said there are no areas the public needs to avoid. More information on the chase will be provided later today, the spokesperson said.

Facebook user Simon Bird shared a video showing the suspect vehicle driving very quickly on the wrong side of the road:
