Fire ban lifted

Jun 3, 2011 | 11:40 AM

A fire ban prohibiting open fires in Little Red River Park has now been lifted.

A city wide fire ban was lifted earlier this week.

Saskatchewan Environment said rain and a reduced fire risk have prompted the ministry to lift the ban for the forest, parks, and recreation sites south of the Churchill River.

People are still urged to be cautious, because a period of dry weather could increase the risk again.
