Home invasion suspect on the run again

May 10, 2018 | 3:00 PM

One of three people charged in connection to a violent home invasion is being sought by RCMP after he failed to show up for court.

Prince Albert RCMP told paNOW an arrest warrant for Silas Ermine, a 39-year-old man from Sturgeon Lake First Nation. Ermine was initially charged last January after an incident on an acreage northwest of Prince Albert. The homeowner, an 82- year-old woman, was allegedly assaulted in her home before her car was stolen.

A warrant was issued for Ermine’s arrest at the time of the incident, and he was arrested the next day before being released pending his next court appearance. His co-accused in the case, Danny Daniels and Jade Ermine, are both currently in custody with court appearances scheduled for later this month.
