RCMP lay charges in death of Beauval man

Beauval RCMP have charged a man with manslaughter in the death of a local 19-year-old.
In the early morning hours of March 31, police responded to an assault complaint at a residence in Beauval. A man with serious injuries was located, and transported to hospital in Île-à-la-Crosse and then Saskatoon.
On April 9, the victim Darren Buffin, 19, of Beauval succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital in Saskatoon.
Braydon McCallum, 20, also of Beauval was initially arrested and charged with assault. Those charged were eventually dropped and upgraded to manslaughter.
