Three charged in death of La Ronge restaurant owner

RCMP have arrested and charged an 18-year-old man and two teenagers with murder in connection to the death of Simon Grant.
The 64-year-old was fatally wounded following an armed robbery at his business, Louisiana’s Bar-B-Que around 11 p.m. on April 15th. Police say the three suspects were arrested in the La Ronge area late Friday afternoon.
Austin Bird, 18, and two other suspects, a 17 and 14-year-old who cannot be named under the Youth Justice Act, will appear in La Ronge Provincial court Monday. Each face charges of second degree murder, armed robbery, using an imitation firearm, wearing a disguise and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
