P.A. police arrest two for drug possession
The Prince Albert Police recently arrested two persons on possession of drug charges.
On March 17, at roughly 11 a.m., officers responded to a stolen vehicle complaint in the 400 block of Marquis Road. Two people were found sleeping in the vehicle parked on the west side of a business parking lot. They were both arrested and officers performed a search of the vehicle. A small bag of what was thought to be methamphetamine, an eye glass case containing pills and open containers of alcohol were found in the vehicle. A needle was also found in the purse of the female suspect containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine.
The 37-year-old male was charged with unlawful possession of methyphenidate and unlawful possession of methamphetamine, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and two breaches of court orders. The 24-year-old female was charged with unlawful possession of methyphenidate and unlawful possession of methamphetamine and two breaches of court orders.
The suspects will face charges in provincial court today.
