Former guard at Yorkton Rural RCMP cellblock charged with drug trafficking

A former guard at the Yorkton Rural RCMP cellblock has been charged with trafficking drugs.

Yorkton RCMP said, in November 2016, an investigation started into suspected drug activity at the cellblock. RCMP added inmates were involved.

Bonny Maddaford, 45, was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine and marijuana. She was dismissed from her duties as a result of the charges.

Maddaford made a court appearance in Yorkton Monday. Her next court appearance is scheduled for March 13.
