ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A Pennsylvania man is accused of stealing nearly $1,000 worth of newspapers for the coupons.

Upper Macungie Township police say 25-year-old Dion Scheirer stole approximately 160 bundles of newspapers from The Morning Call earlier this month and gave them to a third party who sells coupons in bulk around the region.

Police say the newspaper lost $965 in revenue as a result of the theft.

Authorities didn’t immediately identify who the Allentown man tried to sell the papers to.
